Birkenstock Custom Resole (Vibram Sole Options)

Our Birkenstock Custom Resole service lets you resole your own pair with a Vibram sole option that suits how you wear them. This service is available for any Birkenstock style — you just send us your footwear and we’ll handle the rest.

Important notes before you book

• We don’t supply Birkenstocks for repair requests — you’ll need to send your own pair.

• This service does not include new footbeds and we do not replace footbeds. It’s a resole and rebuild focused on the outsole.

• Birkenstock’s cork construction doesn’t allow for a traditional welt. Any welt-style stitching on the edge is decorative, not structural.

Choose your sole option

Available Vibram options include:

• Vibram Mini Ripple

• Vibram Cristy Thin

• Vibram Ripple Gumlite

If you’re after a different Vibram sole, we can often arrange alternatives — just email us with photos and what you’re aiming for.

Weight and feel

A custom resole can add a little weight, especially if leather layers or heavier outsole options are used. The trade-off is a tougher build, long-term durability, and a more supportive underfoot feel.

How the process works

1. Pay online – complete your order on our website.

2. Note your order number – write it down and include it in the box.

3. Pack carefully – box up your footwear with your order details inside.

4. Send it to us – post your parcel using a courier of your choice.

5. We complete the repair – once finished, we’ll ship your footwear back to you.

Return postage

Return postage is a flat rate of £3.99 via Royal Mail Tracked 48 (2nd Class). Tracking is emailed once your repair is complete (usually 24–48 hours before Royal Mail collects from our store).

Tracking deliveries to us

Due to the high volume of parcels we receive by post, we’re unable to confirm their arrival. Please track your parcel using your chosen courier.

Good to know

Resoling suitability depends on the condition and construction of the footwear. If your pair isn’t a good candidate, we’ll contact you before any work goes ahead.
