Bring worn walking and hiking boots back to life with a full rebuild using the Vibram Sniper cup sole unit.

This is a more substantial repair than simply replacing the outer tread. It is designed for compatible boots that require a complete replacement sole unit, helping restore dependable grip, structure and support.

Every pair is carefully assessed before work begins. Where possible, we aim to maintain the intended shape, profile, fit and overall character of the original footwear.

About the Vibram Sniper unit

The Vibram Sniper is a rubber cup sole featuring a multi traction lug pattern designed to provide dependable all round grip.

Need help choosing?

Not every cup unit is compatible with every pair of boots.

Email support@soleandtrail.co.uk with clear photographs of the footwear, including the soles, sides and any damaged areas. Please also include the brand, model, size and information about how you use them.

We will advise whether the Vibram Sniper is suitable or recommend a more appropriate alternative.

How the process works

1. Pay online – complete your order on our website.

2. Note your order number – write it down and include it in the box.

3. Pack carefully – box up your footwear with your order details inside.

4. Send it to us – post your parcel using a courier of your choice.

5. We complete the repair – once finished, we’ll ship your footwear back to you.

Return postage

Return postage is a flat rate of £3.99 via Royal Mail Tracked 48 (2nd Class). Tracking is emailed once your repair is complete (usually 24–48 hours before Royal Mail collects from our store).

Due to the high volume of parcels we receive by post, we’re unable to confirm their arrival. Please track your parcel using your chosen courier.

Resoling suitability depends on the condition and construction of the footwear. If your pair isn’t a good candidate, we’ll contact you before any work goes ahead.
